This week we’re doing the heavy lifting to bring you fun and entertainment around Alabama’s lakes. We’ve scoured chamber of commerce and social media calendars all across Alabama’s lakes for what’s happening this week. Here’s the nitty gritty details!
On April 9th, the annual Mutts on Main event will be from 10-2pm on Main Street in Centre, Alabama. Come out for food, fun and bring your favorite pooch (on a leash of course) for a laid back good time celebrating our favorite furbabies!
On April 8th at 7pm Sportsman’s Park will host the annual Rock and Glow 5K. Details from the site are as follows:
The Sportsman Lake Park Rock & Glow 5K is a glowing experience where we focus on enjoying the night and less about speed. Our event is all about people of all different speeds, ages, shapes, and sizes ready to GLOW! Bring your creativity and leave the dull at home. Look the part, if it’s bright colored, blinks, shines, glows, or looks like something from another planet, its perfect! The Sportsman Lake Rock & Glow 5K will be Friday, April 8, 2022, from 7-10 P.M. The race will start at 7 P.M. The Sportsman Lake Rock & Glow 5K will be $25 per person and $30 the day of, and children 6 and under are free! Sign up by the pre-registration date March 31st and receive a FREE t-shirt and glow items! Admission to the park is free but if you want to participate in the 5k you will need to register! We will have a booth set up for items for sale such as t-shirts, glow sticks, and other glow items so you can light up the night. Our event will go on, rain or shine, please come prepared.
