Where to Watch Fireworks on Alabama’s Lakes: 2022

It’s that magical time of year on Alabama’s lakes where we gather with friends and family, eat too much, get too sunburned, and blow stuff up! It’s Independence Day! Looking for a place to watch the fireworks? I got you!

Smith Lake

Lot’s going on at Alabama’s most pristine lake. On Saturday, July 2nd, cruise on over to Devil’s Branch and listen to live music from John Anderson and Ray Scott from 5-9pm at the 2022 Rock the Boat Concert. Fireworks follow the concert!

On July 4th head on over to Smith Lake Park for an all day festival celebrating our freedom! The Smith Lake Park Fireworks and Music Festival is a day full of arts and crafts, food, live music, and fireworks! You can play putt-putt, visit the beach area, and the swimming pool will be open and renting kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards! Plus there will be the famous golf cart parade.

Lake Guntersville

The Big G is bustling this week! Your 4th of July Weekend couldn’t get any better than this… Great food, Ice Cold Drinks, and Boot-Stompin’ Country Music with Johnny Collier & The Misbehaviators… And it’s all happening LAKE-SIDE!!! Join us Sunday, July 3rd at Legends on Lake Guntersville. We’ll get the music started at 4 PM but come on in early for good seating!! Don’t forget to bring your friends!!

On the 4th head over to Civitan Park in Guntersville for the annual concert and fireworks show! This concert begins at 6:30pm, and is held right before the City of Guntersville’s Fireworks on the 4th of July. It is held at the Jeff Cook stage at Civitan Park on Sunset Drive in Guntersville. Bleachers are available for seating or guests can bring their own folding chairs. Concessions are available, and donations are accepted.

Weiss Lake

We go hard at Weiss Lake! The big attraction this year is July 2nd at the Liberty Day Festival in Cedar Bluff. During the day, the Cedar Bluff Fire Department will be having its annual barbeque sale, with pre orders available now. Alongside this will be live music, a petting zoo, face painting and more, with the day’s festivities ending with Fireworks Over Weiss Lake at 9 p.m. For more information about this and other local fireworks shows, check out this handy calendar from WEIS Radio!

Wheeler Lake

The KOA Campground will host a cornhole tournament as well as food trucks and fireworks on July 2nd, Pancake breakfast on July 3rd, and the golf cart parade with live band on the 4th. Details available here!

Remember to keep it safe on Alabama’s lakes this weekend. Here’s a helpful reminder about boating laws, keep your pets comfortable and secure during the fireworks displays, and enjoy the shows! Looking for your own spot to watch the fireworks? We got the lake home you need!
