Where to Eat on Alabama’s Lakes! – Part 3

Summer is knocking at my door like the police with a warrant coming to drag this fatty into a three-month outdoor real estate sentence. Gone are blue jeans. It’s flip flops and fishing shirts from here on out, and if I roll up to the showing with a yeti in my hand mind your business about what’s in my cup! It’s not even June yet and we’re hitting 93 degrees today, kids! If I’m gonna get sweaty you can bet that the food better be worth reapplying the industrial strength deodorant i’m rocking. So let’s eat!

Today we’re cruising down to Neely Henry Lake to check out the newest lakeside spot – known as Current Market & Deli in Gadsden. A little tricky to find by land because it is located inside River Rocks Landing RV Park – you’ll have to park outside the RV park and take a short walk to the restaurant, this spot features the usual suspects like burgers and pizza with a few unique meals I had to try.

They’ve got pizza from Blackstone Pizza in Gadsden – hands down the best pizza in town, but what really stood out was their catfish po boy! I’m something of a po boy connoisseur, and this thing is pretty fantastic! The view of the Coosa River is relaxing from their oversized deck, and the atmosphere will make you forget you’re in the middle of town.

Next time the weather is nice and you need to unwind over a meal lakeside in Gadsden, checkout the Current!
